The Philbrick family settled in the Portage County area of Wisconsin. There was an excellent web page for the family at: http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nvjack/fylbrigg/index.htm, a RootsWeb page. Ancestry bought out RootsWeb. In January 2018 it disabled the web pages due to some sort of data breach. It is not known if or when the web pages will be accessible.
This family was traced back to about 1066 with William I of Normandy’s conquest of England. The Philbrick (Bigod) family was a noble family in William I’s Normandy duchy in France. Part of the family went to England with William I.
